a few words about us

Vegeco Ltd is a vegetarian company specialising in vegetarian and eco-friendly products.

Originally established in 2003 as Vegecommerce and incorporated in 2006 as Vegeco Ltd. Our company philosophy is that we can enable many people to make the changes in their diet and lifestyle, not by campaigning, but by providing real solutions.

From our base in the old market town of Havant on the South coast of England, we distribute ethical goods across the World.

our everyday ethics

Reduce, reuse, recycle and repurpose

Here at Vegeco we like to do our best for the environment too.

All of our retail orders are packed in cardboard boxes. We source unwanted card from local retailers to protect outgoing pallets and parcels where possible. Most incoming wooden pallets are used again for our large trade orders. Often incoming goods come in large boxes which we resuse for out going parcels. So don't judge your parcel by the cover! For our food parcels for people, we use biodegradable corn 'peanuts' to protect smaller items to reduce the risk of damage.

Our unused cardboard, plastic and glass is recycled in our own recycle bin and any materials that can't be recycled are processed by a local waste management company with a zero to landfill policy, where energy is extracted and fumes filtered to the point where steam is the only thing to leave their chimney.

Our office flooring is reused carpet tile bought up from the 'The City' because it didn't suit an ingoing tenant and our reception desk is made out of old scaffold boards!

A greener future

We are always looking for ways to improve our business, especially if there are environmental and economical benefits.

For the future, we aim to get as close to a paperless business as possible, investing in software to process, improve and record daily activities.

More efficient chilled storage and LED industrial lighting will reduce our energy consumption and we're looking into the viability of switching to a renewable energy supplier.

We work with a wide range of individuals, charities and companies both in the UK and abroad. From humble start-ups to established wholesalers we are able to advise and assist people with product selection and logistical advice.

We supply vegetarian and organic businesses, traditional pet food retailers and wholesalers, heath food shops and wholesalers, animal sanctuaries and rescue centres and Vets with our range of vegan pet foods and treats.

We are looking for more partners to work with this year, so if you are interested in being one of our partners, please contact us using the link below.
